Lynn Castle, executive director of organiser Amset, commented: "Go for the Gold is always an exciting event, but this year we are anticipating a heightened enthusiasm because gold is looking much better to many people." A total of 500 tickets were produced for the 14th annual Go for the Gold event First Fidelity Reserve has been numismatist for the draw on a number of occasions. The provider of bullion and rare coins was founded 20 years ago and specialises in certified US coins, including Liberty Double Eagles, Indian Head and Princess designs. Meanwhile, India's postal department has extended the sale of gold coins in the city of Ludhiana, with a five per cent discount on each purchase being offered to buyers, according to the Times of India.
