Friday, 13th March 2009 (1924 views) Items of gold bullion will form part of an auction taking place in Florida next month.According to Daniel Frank Sedwick of Winter Park, Florida, the latest Shipwreck Treasure Auction will be held on April 9th 2009 and is the biggest ever, with almost 1,800 lots. The first treasure sale held around 400 lots and the latest version will offer live internet bidding combined with full descriptions and photographs available on the auction house's website. In the shipwreck bullion section of the latest auction, flakes of gold dust and nuggets found below the sea and a number of coins. "When we began our Treasure Auctions two years ago, we had no idea how quickly the concept would grow," Mr Sedwick said. In other news, Odyssey Marine Exploration has reported that the sale of gold coins has been a major factor in boosting its revenues to $4.1 billion (£2.97 billion) in 2008.
