Tuesday, 13th January 2009 (1138 views) Gold Hawk Resources has announced that it has received a permit to reopen the Coricancha gold mine in Peru.The company stated that it has been awarded the final permit required to construct a new permanent tailing facility at Chinchan, which will be unveiled as part of its plans to reopen the property. Granted to Gold Hawks Peruvian subsidiary, Compania Minera San Juan, the permit is the final one needed to deliver the new resource. The firm has also revealed that it has negotiated with lenders for an extension to its debt repayment date to January 29th 2009, enabling it to seek financing more effectively in order to restart production. Based in Vancouver, Gold Hawk Resources is a metals producer with reserves and resources including the wholly-owned Coricancha mine in Peru, which it acquired in March 2006. The company has refurbished the mine and processing plant at Coricancha and started commercial production in October 2007.
