Thursday, 11th December 2008 (1292 views) Gold-Ore Resources has reported that its 100 per cent-owned Bjorkdal gold mine in Sweden generated record amounts of gold in the last month and quarter of its fiscal year.The company stated that gold production reached 3,577 ounces in November 2008 and 9,185 ounces over the fourth quarter of the year. According to Gold-Ore, total gold production for the 2008 fiscal year was 27,955 ounces, with 1,181,094 tonnes of ore processed over the year and daily throughput of 3,227 tonnes. Average plant recovery over the year was 87 per cent, rising to 90 per cent during November 2008, while the annualised production rate for the fourth quarter of the year was 61 per cent higher than the previous three months. Gold-Ore has revealed that it is planning to complete test mining of stopes over the next few months, declare commercial production at the mine, develop the Central Tunnel area, carry out a plant upgrade and increase open pit production. Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, the international mining and exploration company has one operating gold mine and several exploration properties at various stages of development in Sweden.
