Monday, 8th December 2008 (1247 views) Tidalwave Holdings has announced that it has appointed a new chief operating officer (COO).Robert Barry Howie has over 40 years of direct mining experience in both technical field operations and management and diplomatic capacities and is an experienced prospector, geophysical survey designer, drill-blast technician and mine planner. Mr Howie attended Mount Royal College in Calgary before completing his BSc in Engineering from the University of British Columbia and post-graduate studies in Mining Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. He has worked in the exploration/geophysical field for the mining and petroleum industries in south and central America, Mexico, the US, Canada and Australia and has worked for a number of companies, most recently the American Mining Association in Liberia, west Africa. Based in Port Washington, New York, Tidalwave is a diversified holding company with strategic interests across the metals exploration, recovery and processing industries and is leaseholder of the Mother Lode gold claim, the Triumph mine.
