Friday, 5th December 2008 (1276 views) Etruscan Resources has reported that its Youga gold mine in Burkina Faso, west Africa, poured 7,136 ounces of gold during November this year.The company stated that a total of 21,165 ounces of gold were poured at the mine during the fourth quarter of the year and the average forecast monthly gold production over the life of the mine is 6,700 ounces per month. According to Etruscan, the Youga gold mine operation has "been steadily improving and has now reached design throughput with the last two months of production exceeding 7,000 ounces per month". Between March and November 2008, the Youga gold mine poured more than 39,200 ounces and Etruscan sold 18,970 ounces of gold during the fourth quarter of the year, realising gross revenues of $13.9 million (£9.46 million). Canadian junior mining company Etruscan Resources is a gold-focused firm with prospects in district scale gold belts covering more than 13,000 sq km in west Africa, including the Youga gold project in Burkina Faso, the Agbaou gold project in Cote d'Ivoire and the Finkolo gold project in Mali.
