Thursday, 22nd May 2008 (2675 views) An ice cream dessert featuring 23ct edible gold and gold dragets is available in New York City, according to reports.Website 7days.ae says the Grand Opulence Sundae from Gotham's Serendipity restaurant is made with Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream and comes drizzled with Amadei Porcelena chocolate, the gold leaf, dragets and truffles topped with dessert caviar. According to Food Mall, at $1,000 (£500) each, the treat is the most expensive ice cream in the world. 7days.ae includes the Grand Opulence in a list of some of the world's most exclusive - and expensive - dishes, which also features a bottle of Pasion Azteca tequila that comes in a gold and diamond-encrusted case priced at over $1.5 million, a diamond-encrusted fruitcake from Japan that took six months to design and chef Daniel Boulud's $150 hamburger. Mr Boulud's creation was recently topped by another New York chef, Richard Nouveau, whose hamburger featuring edible gold leaf from Japan clocks in at $175.
