Drilling extends Mexico gold zoneThursday, 1st May 2008 (816 views) Drilling in the Clavo 99 zone on the San Miguel vein in Mexico has extended its known mineralisation to a depth of 250 metres below the surface, one of the companies developing the site has said.Tara Gold announced the result of the programme, which was conducted by its joint partner at San Miguel, Paramount Gold. A drill hole designated SM-34 confirmed the new depth of Clavo 99, returning gold values of 10.0 g/t gold across 0.49 metres. This was contained in a 4.93 metre vein with an average grade of 2.17 g/t gold, the company said. Other highlights of the assay results include values of 0.26 g/t gold over 18.60 metres. The average for the drill hole was 0.66 g/t gold over 23.53 metres, Tara Gold added. The San Miguel gold project is located in Chihuahua, northern Mexico. It is part of the Temoris mining district, which is situated on a prolific gold and silver belt in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains.
