An initial round of drilling at the Air Track Hill gold target on the North Bullfrog property in Nevada has intersected a new zone of gold mineralisation, the company developing the site has said.

International Tower Hill stated that the drilling, which involved the completion of 11 holes totalling 2,469 metres, has confirmed the property's potential for hosting a bulk tonnage operation, as well as the possibility of a "significant expansion" of its current resources.

Key intersections recovered from the drilling include gold graded at 1.02 g/t gold over 25.9 metres and 1.2 g/t gold over 9.2 metres.

There were also intercepts of 0.71 g/t gold over 3.1 metres, 0.51 g/t gold over 7.6 metres and 0.50 g/t gold over 10.7 metres.

International Tower Hill said the results indicate there are "multiple" stages of high-grade gold mineralisation hosted at Air Track Hill, as well as "numerous zones" of lower-grade material throughout the larger Air Track Hill-Sierra Blanca area.

Consequently, it has acquired a further 52 mining claims covering some 400 hectares at the site.

The North Bullfrog property is situated near the town of Beatty in south-west Nevada. It is located approximately six miles north of the Bullfrog mine, which produced 2.4 million ounces of gold during its lifetime.
