Exploration drilling finds gold in MontanaTuesday, 4th March 2008 (2313 views) Exploration drilling at the Chrome Mountain property in the US state of Montana has returned anomalous gold, platinum and palladium mineralisation with values of up to 11.90 g/t, one of the companies behind the joint venture has said.Premium Exploration, which is working in partnership with Beartooth at Chrome Mountain, said all of the holes drilled as part of its 2007 exploration programme had returned gold, platinum and palladium mineralisation. Holes at the site were drilled in sections approximately 200 metres apart to test an area of 1,000 metres by 4,000 metres to a depth of 150 metres, the company said. Some holes returned results of 7.9 g/t gold, platinum and palladium over 0.3 metres, which was enclosed within a halo of additional mineralisation grading 1.5 g/t gold, platinum and palladium. Five other intersections of this type of mineralisation were recovered from other holes, Premium said, including grades of 7.6 g/t over 0.3 metres, 6.5 g/t over 0.3 metres and 6.3 g/t over 1.2 metres. Chrome Mountain is one of eight precious metal projects Premium is currently exploring in the United States and Mexico. The others include Nueva Galicia, San Pedro Analco and Buffalo Gulch.
