Entitled The Trail of 1858, British Columbia's Gold Rush Past, the book contains a wealth of information about gold exploration in the west coast province. Written by Mark Forsythe host of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) radio programme BC Almanac and journalist Greg Dickson, the book contains considerable research into the historic event, accompanied by black-and-white photographs. The research is accompanied by contributions from CBC radio listeners for a combination of memory and fact, which is described by book retailer Amazon as having "a personal, folksy feel". Also mentioned on the list are titles such as The Spirit of the Ride, which is a photographic tribute to horses used by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Goose People, which contains inspiring stories from Canadian celebrities including Walter Gretzky and Justin Trudeau.
