Gold mining operations under reviewWednesday, 14th November 2007 (1620 views) A total of three gold mining opportunities are currently being reviewed by Grand Pacaraima Gold, it has emerged today.According to the company, projects in Africa, Australia and China are currently under consideration for a strategic alliance, with a decision expected within the next few weeks. The project based in Africa involves a number of small-scale mining operations, while the Australian prospect represents a historical gold mining property from the 1800s which would require some additional equipment and funding to facilitate gold production on the site. A third project, located in China, is reportedly set to install a processing plant with an output capacity of 500 tonnes of ore per day. Earlier this month, a spokesperson from Grand Pacaraima stated that a partnership with one or more of these prospective projects could "set the stage" for natural resource expansion. The company currently has four gold mines in Venezuela, which reportedly contain 3.6 million ounces of recoverable gold reserves.
