Wednesday, 14th November 2007 (3296 views) A Swiss company has released three new luxury gift items containing 24-carat edible gold in time for the upcoming Christmas season, it has emerged.The unique gifts on offer include a sparkling Swiss rose wine containing gold flakes and hand-rolled cigars from the Dominican Republic wrapped in 24-carat gold leaf, according to DeLafee International. As well, a red heart-shaped strawberry lollipop containing edible gold flakes is sure to dazzle next Valentine's Day. "Its red heart shape conveys love and passion with a playful and suggestive connotation," Sebastien Jeanneret, founder and chief executive officer of DeLafee International said. "All our creations are unique, aesthetically stunning and highly symbolic," he added. According to the company's website, the three products were first unveiled last month at the Stockholm Gold Fair and are now available for purchase online. The new products follow the company's popular release of luxury gold pralines made from Swiss chocolate and edible gold flakes.
