Website 'provides one-stop shop' for gold bar informationFriday, 2nd November 2007 (2289 views) A new website has been launched to support to global promotion of gold, providing international users with information about gold bars and gold refiners.The site - sponsored by the World Gold Council with support from gold mining organisation AngloGold Ashanti Limited and leading international gold refiners has been developed by Australia-based Grendon International Research. Central banks, dealers, investors, refiners, jewellery fabricators and other members of the gold industry will be able to use the website to access valuable information, including over 500 photographs, overviews of gold bars and bulletins explaining new gold bars, major refiners and gold bar groups. Matthew Graydon, head of external relations at the World Gold Council, said the organisation is pleased with its sponsorship of the website. "We are pleased to support www.goldbarsworldwide.com as it will act as a valuable source of information for the industry and investors worldwide," he said. On the site, gold bars are classed across many categories, including minted bars, good delivery bars, kilobars and unusual bars.
