More high-grade gold at Orion DistrictThursday, 25th October 2007 (1562 views) New assay results released from a diamond drilling programme at Mexico's Orion District have yielded additional high-grade gold results, according to Nayarit Gold. The company reported that a 7,000-metre Phase One drilling programme has recently been completed at the site, with assay results pending for three remaining holes. "We are very pleased with our Phase One results from the area and four of the first five holes have demonstrated extremely positive grades and widths," said Colin Sutherland, president and chief executive officer of Nayarit Gold. Since the completion of the programme, the drilling rigs have moved site to commence Phase One testing at other previously identified high-priority targets at the Orion District. Mr Sutherland said that once additional data from the other targets has been evaluated, a Phase Two drilling programme will get underway early next year, focusing on determining a resource estimate for the site. Listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, the company holds more than 102,000 hectares of mining property in the Mexican state of Nayarit, which it intends to explore and develop. Recently, Nayarit Gold was an exhibitor at the Wealth Expo, held in New York from October 19th to 21st.
