Bandera Gold making "considerable advances" in MexicoWednesday, 17th October 2007 (1663 views) Following a three-week visit to Bandera Gold's Mexican offices, its engineering team has reported that "considerable advances" have been made at the Cinco Minas mine site. The team said that as a result of their Mexican visit, they are now able to prioritise work on the site and set defined targets for the operation to achieve the status of being a successful gold-producing mine. In addition, a Bandera Gold geological advisor has been conducting tests on the sites new El Limon gold zone, which is thought to contain significant mineralisation and could add an extra kilometre of strike zone to the property's existing structure. Covering 10,750 hectares of land, the Cinco Minas property is located in the Hostotipaquillo mining district of the Mexican state of Jalisco, which is approximately 95 kilometres north of the city of Guadalajara. Bandera Gold hopes to construct a short-term small mill to conduct bulk sampling at the site, according to the company's website. The Canada-based junior mineral exploration company currently has projects underway in Mexico, Columbia and the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.
