Diamond drilling underway at Serbian gold prospectTuesday, 16th October 2007 (1485 views) A diamond drilling programme has begun at the Bukovik gold prospect in Serbia which is set to test the "most promising" targets that lie beneath a gold-bearing alteration cap, according to Reservoir Capital. The company reported that the cap has previously displayed "persistent" gold anomalies and that a three-hole diamond drilling programme covering around 100 metres of the property will help to determine the extent of the gold-producing targets. Reservoir Capital's Bukovik prospect is part of the company's Plavkovo gold project, which the company considers to be "highly prospective". The gold-bearing zone on the property is estimated to cover an area of approximately 1,000 metres by 250 metres and is characterised by volcanic deposits. Exploration programmes carried out by the company are currently underway at six base metal and gold properties in Serbia. The company, which has offices in Vancouver, Canada and Belgrade, Serbia, aims to continue to focus its efforts on acquiring and developing gold-producing properties in south-eastern Europe, according to its website.
