According to Australia's Live News, Sino Gold will now begin making underground developments at the project, advancing at a daily average of 4.3 metres. The company's chief executive officer, Jake Klein, said that he hopes the mine at Jinfeng will be a high-quality long-life asset that will "underpin the future growth and development of Sino Gold". He said that early-stage recoveries made at the mine have exceeded the company's expectations thus far. "We feel confident that the plant will be capable of comfortably achieving levels required to meet the design throughput rates of 1.2 million tonnes per annum," said Mr Klein. According to the Australian news source, Sino Gold is currently in an option to become a joint exploration partner in the Weipai mining project, which is located to the south-east of the Jinfeng gold mine.
