Airborne survey to study Northern Ontario gold propertiesTuesday, 9th October 2007 (1512 views) MetalCORP has begun an airborne magnetic and electromagnetic survey over its two newly-acquired gold-bearing properties located 350 kilometres from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. The company hopes that the air survey will give it added insight into areas of gold mineralisation on its Python and Fearless properties, which are adjacent to the highly lucrative Hemlo gold deposit. MetalCORP has contracted AeroQuest International to conduct the airborne survey, which will use the AeroTEM IV system to identify precise targets and provide depth penetration up to 600 metres. Preliminary results of the survey are expected to be released by the end of the month, with prospecting and diamond drilling to follow in the areas that yielded the most positive results. "The Fearless and Python properties were considered to be a high priority after extensive research by MetalCORP staff revealed the properties to host gold potential based on historical occurrences and extending the rock stratigraphy from the Big Lake property," saod Aubrey Eveleigh, chief operating officer and vice president of exploration at the company. With offices in Toronto and Thunder Bay, MetalCORP is currently focused on exploring resources throughout the Canadian Shield region.
