Thursday, 1st June 2006 (4051 views) Pan African Mining has commenced the second phase of drilling at the Mountain of Gold Project in Madagascar.In a statement the company confirmed that phase two had started following the successful completion of its exploration programme. The Mountain of Gold project covers around 1,825 sq km in the Dabolava region of Madagascar. "The Dabolava East zone contains numerous east-west, steeply dipping, shear-zone hosted, gold-bearing quartz veins," Pan African Mining said. Eight zones have now been targeted for core drilling. The company is also planning to drill permissive zones potentially hosting high-grade gold mineralization along the 10km north-west trending Mountain of Gold shear system.
