Wednesday, 7th December 2005 (5243 views) The Romanian Bank is issuing gold coins under the title The History of Gold the Persinari Treasury.According to the Bucharest Daily News, a total of 1,000 gold coins will be minted. The gold coins feature the Romanian emblem on one side and the Persinari Treasury sword and four daggers on the reverse. Each coin comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Romanian National Bank. Numismaticists can purchase a gold coin for 166 lei (£32) from the National Bank in Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi and Timisoara. The Bulgarian National Bank has also just launched a new gold coin. This carries the bank's emblem and depicts the recently discovered gold mask of a Thracian ruler.
