Monday, 7th November 2005 (4425 views) Three gold ingots have been commissioned by Lombard Bank, reports the Malta Independent.To commemorate its sponsorship of the Commonwealth Heads Of Government Meeting (CHOGM), the bank has commissioned the solid gold ingots. One of the ingots will be presented to HM Queen Elizabeth II, another will go into the bank's collection and the Malta Community Chest Fund will sell the third to raise funds. Lombard Bank is also issuing a limited number of silver ingots to mark the occasion. CHOGM takes place every two years and was last held in Nigeria. Later this month members will meet at Valetta in for an event themed around Networking the Commonwealth for Development.
