Wednesday, 21st September 2005 (4431 views) Details of Timmins Gold Project's phase one drilling programme have been released by Temex Resources.The Timmins project is situated in Whitney township, close to Timmins in Ontario, Canada. A 2,500-metre drill programme is due to commence on October 3rd following the compilation of all historical drill, geological and geophysical data from the site. During the programme, three near-surface target zones will be tested, each of which has the potential to contain near surface gold deposits. These are in the C-zone, and the under-explored strike extensions of the Hallnor and the Bonetal gold bearing structures. Advanced 3D modelling will take place in order to locate deeper targets for subsequent drilling phases. The 2160-acre property, which encompasses four kilometres of strike length in the Destor-Porcupine fault system, has to date produced more than 60 million ounces of gold.
