African Eagle proudly announces new licensesThe news feeds on this site are independently provided by Adfero Limited © and do not represent the views or opinions of the World Gold Council. Tuesday, 6th September 2005 (3875 views) African Eagle Resources has proudly announced its new prospecting licenses, which consist of one next to its current Eagle Eye license in southeast Zambia and an additional five in western Mozambique. The new license near Eagle Eye covers 845 square kilometres to the north and east of the existing site and is valid for two years. African Eagle is currently exploring an iron-oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) deposit at Eagle Eye, which has been proved to be copper rich. Due to positive results from its induced polarisation (IP) surveys, drilling has begun on the identified sites. African Eagle's operations director, Chris Davies, said that the IP and geochemical results "totally justified our decision to pause our drilling campaign and use surface surveys to gain a broader perspective on this large mineralised system". However, "now that the drill is on site, we are very keen to test the major IP and other targets identified from this work," he commented.
