Sage Gold drills at KerrsWednesday, 17th August 2005 (2643 views) Sage Gold has started drilling on the Kerrs Gold property in Ontario, Canada.Although Sage primarily mines gold and silver, it is also currently drilling for diamonds on this property of which it owns over 13,000 acres. The Kerrs property is the site of gold mineralization as first discovered in the 1980s. In March of this year Sage carried out a reconnaissance survey, which revealed gold mineralization beneath the 30 to 50 metres of glacier that cover the property. The company has also used three surveys to find where to drill for diamonds; these are an MMI (Mobile Metal Ion) survey, a magnetic survey and a lithostructural study that uses satellite imagery. When gold needs to be extracted it is dug out or blasted from the rock face before being milled and purified. © Adfero Ltd
