Monday, 15th August 2005 (4006 views) African Eagle has confirmed that its test-drilling in Tanzania has confirmed the presence of gold.<br/><br/>The Msasa gold project has found at least one high-grade gold intersection and the company will investigate further with step-drilling.<br/><br/>Mark Parker, African Eagle's managing director, called the results encouraging.<br/><br/>He compared it to Tanzania's Tulawaka mine, saying: "The geology and style of mineralisation show intriguing similarities."<br/><br/>The Tulawaka mine covers an area of 31,700 hectares within the Biharamulo District of Kagera Region and the Kahama District of Shinyanga Region in Tanzania and produced 1,186,377g of gold between April and June of this year.<br/><br/><br/><img alt="track" src='http://feeds.directnews.org.uk/feedtrack/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=15023416'/>© Adfero Ltd
