Joss brings soul to gold

Friday, 12th August 2005 (2476 views)

Joss Stone will front the World Gold Council's (WGC's) latest 'Speak Gold' advertising campaign.

The popular soul singer will be modelling Di Modola's gold jewellery collection in a series of shots taken for the Condé Nast 'Fashion Rocks' supplement.

October issues of the upmarket magazines Condé Nast Traveler, Glamour, Lucky, Self, Vogue, Vanity Fair and W will be graced by this four-page supplement.

The photos were taken by renowned photographer Patrick Demarchelier and will form part of a campaign that includes Miss Stone performing at the 'Fashion Rocks' music concert.

'Fashion Rocks' is an annual event that will this year feature David Bowie, Destiny's Child and Alicia Keys, in addition to Joss Stone, and will be shown on US channel CBS on September 9th.

John Calnon, the WGC's US operations managing director, expressed delight at Miss Stone's involvement.

"We are honoured to continue our aspirational celebrity marketing with women of such incredible talent and stature," he said.

Other celebrities currently involved in WGC's campaign include Alicia Keys and Jewel who recently sung at the US 'Speak Gold' launch.
