Fabrication demand for gold to riseFriday, 12th August 2005 (2617 views) Worldwide fabrication demand for gold is predicted to rise this year by 1.9 per cent and jewellery demand by two per cent according to CPM Group's 'Gold Survey' forecasts. This will bring the fabrication demand total to 81 million ounces and that of jewellery to 71.4 million ounces. However, rising demand is not the case worldwide. CPM's 'Gold Survey' shows that the USA's consumption of gold for jewellery fabrication has dropped. Yet, as fabrication demand in the USA has fallen so consumer demand for gold jewellery has risen. This reflects the growing fabrication markets in China, India and the Middle East, from which many gold jewellery items are exported abroad. © Adfero Ltd
