Thursday, 11th August 2005 (3783 views) Exhibitions occurring in Dubai, which frequently showcase gold, account for almost $1.5 billion of the country's GDP.<br/><br/>Fasahat Ali Khan at the Expo Centre in Sharjah told Khaleej Times about the venue he manages.<br/><br/>"Sharjah Expo Centre is a versatile venue allowing for the hosting of a range of innovative events and today hosts over 20 exhibitions a year," he commented.<br/><br/>The mideast watch and jewellery spring and autumn shows attract a large amount of visitors and display the latest jewellery, gems and gold trends.
