Rangold's tenth anniversary sees profits riseWednesday, 10th August 2005 (2590 views) Gold miner Randgold Resources celebrated its ten anniversary this month with the announcement of huge profit growth.The company, which operates in Africa, published a 208 per cent profit increase for January to June 2005 compared with the first half of 2004. Randgold Resources was incorporated in 1995 and is well known for its discovery of the Morila deposit in Mali. Chairman Philippe Lietard said Rangold Resources' achievements had been recognised by the gold mining market as it has been given "a leadership position among the gold industry's mid-cap companies". Randgold Resources' newest mine Loulo should start production later this month and the company is also investigating an area in the Côte d'Ivoire in its Tongon project. © Adfero Ltd
