Thursday, 23rd June 2005 (5101 views) A new mum in Australia has won a record $500,000 in gold bullion on a television quiz show.<br/><br/>Brigid O'Connor, from Sydney, scooped Australia's biggest TV quiz show prize on Nine Network's Temptation. The show described as the new Sale of the Century, started four weeks ago.<br/><br/>Ms O'Connor, 33, is on maternity leave after giving birth to daughter Sophia less than a year ago.<br/><br/>She told News Ltd newspapers that she planned to sell the gold to enable her to delay her return to work<br/><br/>"I feel so lucky because all my friends have to go back to work and it's heartbreaking putting a little baby in child care, but it's a reality," she said.
