Friday, 17th June 2005 (4380 views) Tonogold Resources has announced that it has begun field work on its Nyac gold exploration project in Alaska.<br/><br/>The project, located in the south-west of the northern state, will involve a 4,000 sample geochemistry survey along with geophysical work, to include ground magnetics and resistivity.<br/><br/>Tonogold aims to identify high probability drill targets for the 2006 season by the completion of its fieldwork on Nyac in late August 2005.<br/><br/>"The next step in advancing the Nyac property is a comprehensive surface sampling and mineral evaluation program that will focus our drilling efforts next season," said Don Strachan, chief geologist at Tonogold, who is leading the Nyac project team. <br/><br/>A sampling crew from Calista Corporation, an Alaskan native corporation, will be working along with the team.<br/><br/>"We are looking forward to working with Calista and their excellent team of geologists and support personnel," Mr Strachan stated.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8769377"/>
