Wednesday, 15th June 2005 (4193 views) North American Gold has announced that it has begun a drilling programme in Sweden/<br/><br/>The phased 3,500 metre programme at the Barsele and Norra Projects in the Vasterbotten District is focued on expanding the existing resource of 639,000 ounces og gold reported in March this year.<br/><br/>At Norra, roughly 1,000 metres of core drilling is planned, with three additional holes to supplement the three existing drilling areas.<br/><br/>A 2,500 metre reverse circulation (RC) programme is planned for Barsele, to begin the week of June 27th. <br/><br/>An updated resource calculation for the Barsele/Norra Projects was issued by North American Gold in March.<br/>Using a 0.8g/t Au cut off, the project contains a total of approximately 639,000 ounces of gold within the indicated and inferred resource categories, according to the mining company.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8752529"/>
