Wednesday, 13th April 2005 (4794 views) Almaden Minerals has discovered a third new epithermal gold vein prospect in British Columbia.<br/><br/>The company recently identified veins at its SAM and MERIT projects.<br/><br/>Covering around 1850 hectares in size, the prospect is called the Nicoamen River property and claims were acquired by staking and are wholly owned by Almaden.<br/><br/>A recent check on the high gold analysis has reported 64.87 g/t and six soil samples collected have reported gold values of 26 to 94 ppb.<br/><br/>In addition, 40 stream sediment samples collected in and around the property area have identified additional gold anomalies that need to be examined.<br/> <br/>Almaden has claimed the preliminary results are extremely encouraging and it is planning a work programme for this year.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8261994"/>
