New gold vein discovered at BC property

Wednesday, 13th April 2005 (3224 views)

Almaden Minerals has discovered a third new epithermal gold vein prospect in British Columbia.

The company recently identified veins at its SAM and MERIT projects.

Covering around 1850 hectares in size, the prospect is called the Nicoamen River property and claims were acquired by staking and are wholly owned by Almaden.

A recent check on the high gold analysis has reported 64.87 g/t and six soil samples collected have reported gold values of 26 to 94 ppb.

In addition, 40 stream sediment samples collected in and around the property area have identified additional gold anomalies that need to be examined.

Almaden has claimed the preliminary results are extremely encouraging and it is planning a work programme for this year.track
