IAMGOLD has announced that it has appointed two new members to its board of directors.

The firm has revealed that W Robert Dengler and Stephen Freedhoff have both now joined the board.

Mr Dengler is currently working as vice chairman of the board of directors and officer of Dynatec Corporation.

In addition, Mr Freedhoff has worked as a self-employed consultant since 1999 and has over 30 years of experience.

IAMGOLD is a leading gold mining exploration and development company.

The main assets of the firm are located in West Africa and combined annual expected gold production from its main properties is at around 420,000 ounces.
