Royal gifts changed as wedding plans move

A host of commemorative items produced for the Royal wedding have had to be changed after the couple announced they were changing the date yesterday.<br/><br/>Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles were due to get married on Friday, but the death of the Pope has led the couple to postpone their big day until April 9th.<br/><br/>A host of items including special gold coins will now need to be changed to display the correct details.<br/><br/>According to the Times, the Royal Mint began marketing Royal wedding products Monday morning, including a £475 gold medal.<br/><br/>However, a spokesperson said it had been waiting to hear if the wedding would be affected before striking the collectors' items.<br/><br/>"We were due to strike the medals tomorrow," the spokeswoman said. "We're quite lucky, it doesn't damage us at all. We're just changing the artwork."<br/><br/>Other items produced to commemorate the occasion include Charles and Camilla tankards decorated with 22-carat gold.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8200547"/>
