Desert Sun progressing wellWednesday, 2nd March 2005 (2580 views) Desert Sun has reported significant progress with its gold production at the Jacobina Mine.The Canadian miner reports that its first gold pour is scheduled to take place in April this year and at present the company is on track to achieve this. It is thought gold will be produced at around 100,000 ounces per year, beginning in the third quarter of 2005. Bruce Humphrey, president and CEO of Desert Sun Mining, said: "The success we have achieved in reaching our milestones has put us on schedule for a gold pour in April. "This is a testament to the skill and expertise of the individuals who are dedicated to this project and have been driving it forward." A number of developments have been made at the site including production items being made operational, equipment being put in place and staff training has been held. Desert is interested in gold exploration and development.
