Monday, 7th February 2005 (3668 views) Australian mining firm St Barbara Mines has announced that high-grade gold mineralisation has been discovered at its Meekatharra site, located east of Perth.<br/><br/>Latest figures from the company's 2005 drilling programme revealed high grade gold and latest drilling has boosted gold findings further.<br/><br/>In addition, the company's nearby Fenian mine produced high-grade gold mineralisation.<br/><br/>Drilling work will now continue at the site, as well as the firm's Reedys targets.<br/><br/>The company has been using diamond and reverse drilling to ascertain the precious metal situation at its various sites.<br/><br/>St Barbara is an Australian gold producer, founded in 1969 and based in Perth and is also a founding member of the Australian Gold Council.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7747837"/>
