St Barbara discovers high grade goldMonday, 7th February 2005 (2460 views) Australian mining firm St Barbara Mines has announced that high-grade gold mineralisation has been discovered at its Meekatharra site, located east of Perth.Latest figures from the company's 2005 drilling programme revealed high grade gold and latest drilling has boosted gold findings further. In addition, the company's nearby Fenian mine produced high-grade gold mineralisation. Drilling work will now continue at the site, as well as the firm's Reedys targets. The company has been using diamond and reverse drilling to ascertain the precious metal situation at its various sites. St Barbara is an Australian gold producer, founded in 1969 and based in Perth and is also a founding member of the Australian Gold Council.
