Falkland Gold & Minerals has announced it could begin exploratory drilling by February 25th.

The company has exclusive rights to explore for gold in the Falkland Islands.

Falkland sold 25 million shares in December to help raise £10 million for gold exploration work in the South Atlantic islands.

The firm, based in London, is also looking to complete a laboratory for rock evaluation samples by March.

According to the firm the on-site project manager has successfully established the relevant infrastructure needed to support exploration activities and a support drill team has been set up.
