Alaskan group hunt for gold

Wednesday, 2nd February 2005 (2517 views)

Alaskan mining veterans are on the hunt to find the next Pebble mineral deposit.

Pebble is a large copper, gold and molybdenum prospect and the three veterans hope they will find the next deposit on the Alaska Peninsula, southwest of Anchorage.

Alaska Earth Resources, set up by the three geologists, has now entered a partnership with Full Metal Minerals, a Canadian exploration company also wanting to explore.

Survey work began last summer and 11 mineral anomalies have been highlighted, where items of interest may be located, according to the Alaskan Journal of Commerce.

Alaska Earth is now looking to double its work force to work on south Pebble and three other Alaska projects.

A number of gold values have been found on various new sites by the company already, including sites in the Talkeetna Mountains and at the side of Lake Iliamna.
