Azerbaijan's National Bank issues gold tokens

The National Bank of Azerbaijan has issued a series of gold tokens and various coins as it marks the passing of the country's former leader Heydar Aliyev.

Coins will show his image and an inscription of his name, according to Azer News.

On the other side of the coin is a map of Azerbaijan, and is designed as a symbol of "Azerbaijan's independence".

Other precious metals coins will also be issued, including 1,000 gold tokens and 2,000 silver items.

The sale price of a gold coin is €527, while the platinum coin is €1,467.

Investors and collectors can snap up the coins from the National Bank and its regional outlets.
