Thursday, 9th December 2004 (4069 views) Klondike Star Mineral mining company has announced that sampling at its Green Gulch site has uncovered gold.<br/><br/>In total 8.32g/t gold was returned from a white quartz vein boulder, which was placed in an area of mineralisation previously reported by another operator.<br/><br/>The property is located 15 kilometres southeast of the Lone Star mine.<br/><br/>Klondike started exploration programmes in 2004 with prospecting and geochemical surveys, following previous claims from other companies about the site.<br/><br/>Further work is planned in 2005, including geophysical surveys, trenching and soil geochemistry.<br/><br/>Klondike is currently developing five mineralised zones in an area of land around the Klondike Gold Rush.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7277723"/>
