Friday, 3rd December 2004 (3837 views) Kagara Zinc has announced that it has discovered considerable new gold results at its site in the Mungana Red Dome area.<br/><br/>The Mt Garnet Zinc project in Queensland has undergone drilling recently, revealing a significant new zone of gold mineralisation, according to the Australian Journal of Mining.<br/><br/>Kagara's executive chairman, Mr Kim Robinson, commented: "A major exploration program is now required to determine the size of the system, which will commence after the current wet season."<br/><br/>Considerable gold mineralisation was identified in a number of drill holes and three new holes along with previously explored areas have identified a zone of gold mineralisation 190 metres long and around 120-150 metres wide.<br/><br/>"This upgraded resource inventory will form the basis of a conceptual mining study focusing on bulk mining and selective mining options for the Mungana deposit which will commence immediately and continue next year in parallel with intensive gold exploration," Mr Robinson added.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7225385"/>
