Friday, 3rd December 2004 (2526 views)

Canadian miner Fronteer has revealed that its shares have risen following the announcement that it has found gold on its Turkish property.

After revealing that precious metal was detected at its Kirazli property in western Turkey, shares in the firm increased by 11 per cent, according to CBC News.

The junior miner claims that it has found "significant oxide gold mineralisation" on the property through drilling.

Further drilling for minerals is set to continue throughout 2005, according to the firm.

Fronteer is focused on gold exploration in western Turkey and Canada.
