Irish firm begins selling platinum bullion

Tuesday, 16th November 2004 (2467 views)

An Irish firm has announced plans to begin selling platinum, silver and gold bullion.

Gold Investments claims to be the first company in Ireland to commence such an offering and is targeting investors across the world.

Reports on RWE say the Dublin firm will offer silver, gold and platinum coins and bars domestically and abroad.

Former Goldman Sachs banker Stephen Flood and financial analyst Mark O'Byrne head up the new company.

The duo say they are aiming to "educate first-time investors about precious metals" as well as keep existing investors well informed.

The market for precious metal investment, and particularly platinum, has proved profitable in recent years as prices have steadily risen.
