Following the announcement of a proposed gold exchange in Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed has met with the founders of the exchange.

A meeting was held to discuss the scheduled launch and included key members that will be involved in the new venture.

According to AME Info, the Sheikh discussed a number of important issues relating to the gold sector and the exchange.

Items discussed included the structure of the proposed electronic trading platform, approval of implementation plans and a review of the new exchange.

It is hoped the exchange will begin operating in 2005.
