Gold Aura receives gold permits

Friday, 5th November 2004 (2462 views)

Mining firm Gold Aura has announced it has received two of the three exploration permits it applied for recently.

The junior explorer had made applications for sites in north-western China and they will be valid for 12 months, with the possibility for extension for a further year.

According to The Age, the sites are located along the Central Asian black shale belt, which is already home to many world-class deposits.

Gold Aura has now entered into a joint venture with China EcoMine Resources over the sites, allowing it to earn a 90 per cent share in the ground by spending $2 million.

Following the announcement, shares in the company have gone up.
