Friday, 8th October 2004 (4008 views) West Africa's St Jude Resources has announced it has begun its first phase of gold exploration at its 90 per cent owned Deba and Tialkam projects.<BR/><BR/>The first phase of exploration will see air blast drilling taking place to test a host of numerous gold targets identified in previous tests.<BR/><BR/>Both of the sites are located in a good gold mineralisation area that has been established over 150 kilometres.<BR/><BR/>St Jude is particularly positive about the sites after an extensive review of historical data and the heavy concentration of gold is similar to that found at the nearby Samira mine.<BR/><BR/>The company is focused on the discovery and development of gold deposits that are suitable for low cost mining techniques.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3565401"/>
