StrataGold has announced that it has started a new drill programme on its Tassawini Project, located in Guyana, South America.

The 40 hole, 3000 metre drill scheme will see drilling completed on targets located outside of the zone too, in order to identify any new opportunities.

According to the firm, the gold exploration property is where the Tassawini Gold Mine was located and in the past produced around 11,200 ounces of gold over seven years.

Over the years $10 million has been spent on exploring the site and results have shown clear gold mineralisation.

StrataGold focuses on gold deposits and has projects in north Canada and South America.
