New Jersey Mining begins gold processing

Wednesday, 6th October 2004 (2511 views)

New Jersey Mining Company has revealed that it has started mineral processing operations at its site near Kellogg in New Jersey.

At present lower grade gold ore is being processed to optimise the circuit, before higher grade gold is processed from another pit.

The New Jersey site will run for 12 hours a day and has a throughput of four metric tonnes per hour.

A gravity circuit is also in place at the site to recover any visible gold, with calculations suggesting the gold grade of the open pit ore is three grams per tonne.

In addition to the mining developments, the firm which explores for and develops gold and silver, has also appointed two new directors.
