Wednesday, 6th October 2004 (3962 views) New Jersey Mining Company has revealed that it has started mineral processing operations at its site near Kellogg in New Jersey.<BR/><BR/>At present lower grade gold ore is being processed to optimise the circuit, before higher grade gold is processed from another pit.<BR/><BR/>The New Jersey site will run for 12 hours a day and has a throughput of four metric tonnes per hour.<BR/><BR/>A gravity circuit is also in place at the site to recover any visible gold, with calculations suggesting the gold grade of the open pit ore is three grams per tonne.<BR/><BR/>In addition to the mining developments, the firm which explores for and develops gold and silver, has also appointed two new directors.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3548008"/>
